FRAMI - SOFTWARE FOR ANALYSIS OF TECHNIQUES AND TACTICS IN JUDO

The use of an instrument capable of tracing technical-tactical profiles of judokas is an interesting approach to understand how athletes use their skills in the attempt to win a competition. Therefore, softwares that analyze technical and tactical aspects can be useful for the development of tactical training and strategies in order to overcome actions used by opponents. There are few of these instruments available for this analysis in judo ; most of the existing ones present shortcomings in the indexes, besides being limited to one or two components of the combat. This study proposed the development of a software for an in-depth analysis of the main technical-tactical factors in a judo combat. The main principle for the development of this software was to control the technical-tactical analysis obtained from judo combat videos. The software was developed with Delphi language, from Borland Software Corp., and developed for both Windows® and Linux OS, operating in independent modules. This allows a more precise analysis of the tactical variables during combats, minimizing measurement errors, plus optimizing time in the evaluation of combats. The following variables were used for the development of FRAMI software :
i) contest time frame
ii) attack techniques
iii) defense methods
iv) scores and penalties
v) gripping types
vi) walking patterns
vii) methods of use for contest area.
